What are Fast-fry steaks?

Fast-Fry Steak

Fast-fry Steaks are real steaks cut from quality Canadian beef – usually the Inside or Outside Round or Sirloin Tip. They can be cut from any type of steak, with the name of the cut usually indicated on the label. The key to Fast-fry is the way they’re cut – they are quick cooking since they’re cut thinly and they have been ‘blade tenderized’ – that is, scored with a knife – to make them tender. Fast-fry steak is sometimes referred to as Minute Steak, Sandwich Steak, Delicated or Mechanically Tenderized Steak.

Fast-fry steaks fit well with today’s busy meals – quick to cook and tender so kids find them easier to eat than regular steak. They’re economical too, making meal budgets stretch further. Ideal for steak sandwiches, these steaks are perfect for nourishing grab-and-go dinners.
